November 26, 2008 at 2:31 PMI was coming back home today on the Metro and this guy just walked right into me so hard I went back and collided with a lady behind. Then something took me by surprised, I naturally counter attacked and I pushed him back so hard he nearly fell over. I never thought I had it in me............ Oh well guess it's "natural adaption".
We definitely need a lesson on "No smoking in a Non-Smoking area!!!!" that really really gets on my nerve when I'm trying enjoy a meal in a restaurant.

November 23, 2008 at 1:04 PMI got a technical question. I just bought a PDA recently and it uses Adobe Reader LE 2.0.
I thought it would be very useful to listen to Chinesepod in the Metro and also look at the pdf dialogues. But there seems to be problems. I can see the ChinesePod logo at the top when i open the pdf files, but nothing else is displayed.
Does anyone else use a PDA or PPC to look at Chinesepod's pdf?

Yeah that would be awesome. I keep thinking of that Mac vs PC rap video as the first thing that comes to mind.

November 23, 2008 at 8:44 AMYeah,
I'm always tempted to go for Executive plan, but unfortunately I'm not on an executive wage...............
Don't think many people are now.... especially investment bankers or traders. Someone actually told me some great jokes about the financial industry:
JOKE 1:
Q - What's the difference between a guy who has lost everything in Las Vegas and an Investment Banker?
A - A Tie.
JOKE 2
Q - What's the difference between a bond and a bond trader?
A - A bond matures.

November 10, 2008 at 8:00 AMI'm so happy about myself. I understood everything without looking at the pdf. ^_^
Now to work on being able to do that for the Intermediate lessons.

October 21, 2008 at 5:15 AMThanks for help Amber,
As for the grass "da ma" thing. As much as I know it's a joke (and I did chuckle), but I don't think teaching that kind of vocab is appropriate for the younger audience who use this site.
If there is a younger audience :S

October 20, 2008 at 3:46 AMWith the character baohu 保护 I remember another character similiar to that. I think it was baozhong ( i don't know if the pinyin is correct)
I tend to hear "baozhong" after a gathering and they tend to say it to families or close friends when they leave. What are the differences of baohu and baozhong? Or am I mishearing things?
