so, how do I say when my family travels, we will take the car.  If I go alone, I will take the bus?

I have been a member only a short time, and have found that it's worth the price.  I appreciate what I have found.  Here's a question: 

How do you ask a group to divide into teams for an activity?  I want three people on each team. I have learned that I have enough Chinese to guess, but more times than not, what comes out is wrong.
