May 1, 2011 at 5:30 PMI agree - good to get used to natural Chinese spoken speed - but maybe just a bit too fast - too much a transition from Intermediate..

April 25, 2011 at 2:06 PMUseful to have a "natural" interview situation - but it is very fast & initially off-putting for those struggling to get 1 step beyond Intermediate level.... The explanation is also very fast - which gives the impression that the text is more difficult than it really is. Some excellent & useful new vocabulary.

February 23, 2011 at 6:54 PMGood lesson. Just right for this level. Not too many really difficult parts with loads of new vocabulary and difficult constructions. New expressions well spread throughout the text - and most of these useful, not too obscure. More of this very welcome!

February 8, 2011 at 7:18 PMDifficult - even after 3 runs through. Surely closer to Advanced than to Intermediate? Slightly dispiriting - thought I knew more than I did - but still progressing (I think).

February 1, 2011 at 8:46 PMGood lesson. Useful vocabulary & not as difficult as some of the Upper Inter lessons have been recently. Not sure if it's really a transition lesson from inter to upper inter. Quite a lot of new vocab + difficult sentence structure. But one I'll return to - & learn more...

January 26, 2011 at 10:31 AMThanks Catherine. I think I've some way to go before I can do Advanced. I still work on Inter (usually quite easy) and Upper Inter - where even if the language is hard (& sometimes a little bit dispiriting) there is a lot of rich cultural stuff.

January 25, 2011 at 7:05 PMSurely the most difficult text yet at Upper Inter level. The gap between Inter & Upper Inter gets wider... Culturally fascinating though..

January 5, 2011 at 3:11 PMGood lesson - but with dense text (long paragraphs) - & lots of new vocabulary a little difficult to keep up with the 2 speakers who speak very quickly...
