In Italy when somebody gives knives or other cutting tools as a present, the person who receives the present must symbolically "pay" for it (10 cents is enough!). In this way it's no longer a present and no longer a problem ;)

Thank you Bill for pointing out the need to use good English on the Internet - I am a non-native speaker and I translate from English and Chinese into Italian for a living, so I am 100% with you. It's really hard to improve one's English on the Web now as even native speakers tend to write sloppy English.

Chinesepod is great for me as I can practise both Chinese and English, keep up the good work!
