How about 'animated GIF'? Y'know, back in the day I had a really cool avatar with the Chinese character 龜 crawling up a piece of old paper. Alas, the website backend has since eaten my turtle and left me with naught but said paper.

Should I just call it a day and uploade a nice still image?
