Nice picture. Is there any particular significance to using 应该 yīnggāi as opposed to just 该 gāi by itself?

I could also use some help with the particles. I'm learning all kinds of new vocabulary, but I can't form a correct sentence to save my life because I don't know when/where to use the particles. For instance...In this lesson (expansion), we have: 他要走了 - tā yào zǒu le (He's going to leave) 她明天走 - tā míngtiān zǒu (She leaves tomorrow) 我也糊涂...了 I know Amber did a Qing Wen on 了 in the past, but it doesn't seem to be in the list anymore when I go to Lessons > Extras > Q&A. On a side note, I also noticed I missed the last two Qing Wens because they aren't in my feed. *hint, hint* Anyway, if anybody has some good resources for learning about the particles, I'd love check them out. Thanks!

Great lesson! Why is "bird" 鸟 niǎo in the dialogue and 小鸟 xiǎoniǎo in the expansion?

I was just wondering the same thing. How many ways can you say "but" in 中文?

Cool. I expected it to be so much more complicated than that. Thanks lunetta!

I was just going back through this lesson and was wondering the same thing as matthiask... Where's the 的 de? Seems like it should be 这是我的妹妹 zhè shì wǒde mèimei

So does anybody have any proactive approaches to thinking in the new language (besides 13 months of immersion)? I would like to get into the habit early on, but I feel like I don't have enough pieces of the grammar puzzle to "think" the language just yet.

So am I the only juvenile who laughed at Ken's subtle humor in this lesson?
