May 18, 2007 at 1:14 AMSo, as a translator, I'd just like to mention that when you translate into idiomatic English for us, Ken, that's totally a translation in the exact sense of the term. The other option, matching up the words closely at the expense of fluidity, would be called a calque, probably. Or just bad translation. Keep up the good work!

March 7, 2012 at 3:53 PMHey, I just wanted to mention that "changeling" in English isn't a being that can change form. It refers to when fairies (or trolls, or the devil) steal an infant from its crib and replace it with another, a "changeling".
