hi changye

I haven't heard Langganan/Pembeli adalah Tuhan before, only Raja.

Tuhan, by the way, is the Christian term equivalent to The Lord. The Indonesian word for God is of course Allah.

I'm going to bump this because I think it merits a little more attention than it has received.

The sound recording for the English sentences in the 'fix' are of extremely poor quality.

In this set the English sentences has a terrible background humming noise behind it which is so bad at times you can hardly hear what the person is saying.

If you check the comments above you will see that Paulinurus also noticed this and commented on it but did not receive any reply either.

Hi Rushirebird

In Indonesian they say exactly the same thing, "Langanan adalah Rajah" - The customer is King.

I prefer this expression, as well as the title of this lesson, to the expression "the customer is always right", because the latter statement is patently untrue. Ppl in the service industry need a phrase to remind them that the needs of the customer should be given first priority. That doesn't mean using an expression that can be disproven so easily.

Because I work in a service industry I can assure everyone that the customer is NOT always right. In fact, quite often the customer is incredibly stupid or selfish, and can't distinguish his arse from his nose. Or, alternatively, the customer is a theiving bastard who will lie, cheat, malign, or say whatever it takes to get a freebie.

Sorry about the bile folks, but that is real life!

The review sentences use the pattern:

Chinese Word

followed by English sentence

followed by Chinese translation of English sentence.

In this set the English sentence has a terrible background humming noise behind it which is so bad at times you can hardly hear what the person is saying.

If you check the comments above you will see that Paulinurus has also noticed this and commented on it.

Just been listening to the sound recording of the expansion exercises.

Unfortunately the recordings of the English sentences are poor quality. There is a background humming noise to them which is very annoying.

I'm disappointed that the sound recording of the expansion exercises only contains one practice sentence
