From the expansion:  It seems like this sentence 心动不如行动 could be translated as the Chinese version of "actions speak louder than words"?

changye...thanks for that 觅 bit  I will be attempting to cheesily use that on some 美眉‘s。

I need to start listening to these new lessons.  I wish I could catch up on all these lessons, but there's sooo many intermediate lessons.   I'm finding in the back lessons that I'm starting to understand more and more.

Back in July I was understanding about 50% and today I caught 80% or more.  Before it was mandatory I read the dialouge first so I could understand what was going on and now I can listen to it and catch it (after quick review of the vocabulary of course). (I owe thanks to the whole staff past and present)

I preach C-pod to all my 同事 that want to learn more Chinese; however I guess they aren't the podding type?

It's been awhile since I've been on the boards (got sick, then increased hours for winter schools, then vacation has kept me away a looong while!).  Good to be back!

Every Friday as my boss talks about stuff that is mildly important to me but painfuly boring at times I write Chinese characters (If I keep going over the next 20+ weeks I'll know how to write about 200 of some of the most common characters allowing me to write most of the rest if I ever need to).  From now on everytime I learn to write one of these characters I'll never forget the ren radical part.

It was kinda Napoleon Dynamite funny...weird and laugh in my head funny but not side splitting.

Increasing the grammar guide sounds like a good idea too...

Here's my attempt.

My best bud knows everything about me.

我的死党很了解我。

Because her English was bad, I didn't understand her constructive criticism.

因为他的英语说得不好我不理解他的“constructive criticism".

your character for leng doesn't look right.  Why is the phone I input on my cell phone quite different from this "冷" that you provided on the lesson.  I looked it up in a dictionary and got yours but I swear this is the first time I've noticed it.

If you divide the character into 4ths: the bottom right 4th is quite different.   I need to learn the terms for the slashes to be able to properly communicate my issue.

I've lurked around CP for a few years and I just started listening to QW.  I must say the music immediately makes me want to learn the lesson for some reason.  It's enchanting that way. This is material I want to know so I'll get to this lesson before the week is out!

I find many Chinese coffees to be way too strong. Back in the states I much prefer black coffee but in China I need a bag of sugar and extra foam to make the coffee tolerable. I was going to ask a question on how to express this but I had a friend give me a word or two help to say: 中式咖啡的味道太浓了! I was also told zhong (重) works as well in place of nong2? (I'd put the tone on zhong but my chinese friend can't tell me, maybe it's too late).

my favorite band: “他们可能是巨人“ (wow that might be really wrong.)

This is my first episode of Qingwen and this is exactly the type of Chinese lesson I need.  I often ask my co-workers Chinese grammar questions and often come away confused because they are used to answering questions like "How do I say apple?" from my other foreign co-workers.  I'll definately be hitting up the archives in the next few weeks!

我也可能听一听给”Hello Amber” (我希望我打对了)
