糟了，我把手机落在了出租车上。 With regards to this sentence from the expansion, it is translated to (Oh no, I left my cellphone in the taxi.)

糟了，我把手机落在了出租车里。 If I said this, would the meaning be the same? Can I say this? Would this also translate to I left my phone "in" the taxi?

What if I wanted to express that I left me phone on the taxi or car (i.e. the roof)? How would I express that given the first example sentence above.

我把手机落在了出租车上。 Can this mean I left me phone "on" the taxi?
