I agree with miami_meiguoren, it's refreshing to mix it up a bit.

@ light487

Isn't "how long (for)...?" 多久

as in 你忙多久?How long will you be busy?

[prepares to stand corrected]

I have a question about the structure verb + object + verb + degree.

I've come across 得好 and 得不太好, but that gets a bit boring after a while. I found the phrase... 堵车堵得很厉害 interesting.

Could you also say 堵车堵得很重了 or 堵车堵得真不好

For instance, could you say 她学习学得很努力 ?

she studies really assiduously

Or how about 他说中文说得流利

he speaks Chinese fluently

Typically what other adverbs could follow common verbs to escape and 不好

Cheers for any advice.

Is the '儿' in 有事儿 particular to certain regions of China in the way that 那儿 is sometimes pronounced 那里 depending where you are?

Are there other examples of losing the '儿' in common words or phrases?

Also, can anyone give us some more pointers on when to use the 啊 suffix and what it conveys?

How would you describe the weather as being varied or changeable?

Also, when describing the weather as sunny can  you say -

Is there a Chinese Pod lesson which walks beginners through the whole it's 2 o'clock, it's half past three etc?

If so, can someone please post the link.

Thanks in advance, people.
