September 10, 2015 at 5:26 PMI sent audio of Fiona speaking Chinese in her lessons to a bunch of my Chinese friends from Singapore, Taiwan and Mainland who speak Mandarin as their native language. I asked them where do they think she's from. They ALL said she's definitely native Taiwanese. I think perhaps her accent-free native fluent english is skewing your perception of what she sounds like to other native speakers of Mandarin.
