I think "suan tian rou" mainly focus on the flavor, but "gu lao rou" is the other name of this dish. In Guangdong Province, we also have "suan tian pai gu(酸甜排骨)"，taste almost the same as "gu lao rou",and "gu lao rou" always has pineapples in it.
