I talked about this lesson with one of my yu yan jiao huan and said Americans wouldn't understand why if a coat was washed yesterday you couldn't wear it today. I said that I knew Zhongguoren who could easily afford a dryer, always hung their clothes out to dry, even in the winter. He said he bought his mom a dryer, but it scared her and she believed that if you hung your clothes out to dry in the sunshine it would kill bacteria.
