I'm a leftie and have found since first coming to China in 2002 that it's not really a biggie, though people do notice. I've never really received an unfriendly comment about it, but rather hear all the time. "Wow, you must be really smart!"
I asked a Chinese friend once and they said this way because Chinese people believed that Lefties more fluently use both hemispheres of the brain.
Anyways, I kinda like being different in this way. I mean, I'm tall, red-headed, blue-eyed, freckled and curvaceous..what's a little left-handed weirdness when you already got all that going on :-)
