What about 4-syllable names?!

These days, at least in Taiwan, it's becoming popular to put the mother's family name together with the father's family name, creating a 2-character family name; for example: 葉馬. The particular name I'm thinking of is Yèmǎ Sīwéi.

In Taiwan, more than 90% of the population have 3-character names, though. 2-character names are fairly rare, and 4-syllable names are even rarer.

I'm in the market for a good 4-syllable name, if anyone has any ideas :)

A nice extension from 执著 is 执意 zhíyì. Here's an example:

他没进屋,仿佛执意要在窗外说话一样。

Its meaning is similar to 'to insist on'.
