December 1, 2012 at 1:20 AMActually I'm from sydney and I had the same issue when I first went to Beijing. Sydney only has one major train station from which all major departures depart. So when I bought a ticket at one of the large train stations in Beijing I didn't realise that I would have to go to a different large train station on the other side of the city.

January 25, 2012 at 4:38 PMYeah, it's a load of poop. Concidering stroke order changes in different regions of the sinosphere. If you use pleco however, I highly recommend purchasing the handwriting add on. It can even recognize a lot grass script characters. Stroke order isn't very important and it can create order out of real messy scribbles. Did I mention it can also cook breakfast?

I spent time as a medical student in a hospital in a major Chinese City and violence towards doctors by disgruntled family members was not uncommon. Granted there are a lot of factors that seem to make this the case, such as the lake of communication and high expectations as discussed here.
