October 8, 2014 at 4:32 AMI accidentally swallowed a fish bone in Korea. My coworkers suggested I eat a big ball of rice wrapped in kimchi without chewing. I don't know if I got lucky or if maybe the kimchi helps but it worked on the first try.

December 28, 2013 at 1:12 AMI went to see Spiderman in 3D in Shenzhen and I woke up the next day with pink eye. In the US the 3D glasses are single use but in some places in China they reuse them from showing to showing without washing them. I strongly advise people to bring alcohol wipes and clean the glasses before you put them on.

December 7, 2013 at 3:22 AMMy first time going to China for work my customers took me to sing karaoke. But I really can't sing so they all kind of laughed at my singing. Then I went home and studied a few Chinese songs so the next time I went to KTV, I sang Chinese songs. I still don't sing well but all my customers were so impressed that I could song songs in Chinese that no one laughed at my singing. So you are a foreigner in China that can't sing. Don't worry just learn a few Chinese songs and all your friends will be impressed.

October 12, 2014 at 8:47 PMThis episode also seems to imply that northern Chinese people are a little more heartless than people in the south. Does 省得 also give a cold feeling in the north where they use it more often?
