No. 一会儿is a time noun phrase, which means it is independent. 一下儿 is a verb complement, you always attach it to a verb.

Those two questions you are asking are "yes/no" questions in fact. You can also say "胃不舒服吗?” or "你大姨妈是你的老朋友吗?". Oftentimes, in a dialogue among friends, you can use the rising tone to inform another interlocutors that it is a "yes/no" question.

I like this topic! Just wondering if you could get a real "baobao" to help with the recording? This adult female's voice doesn't help learners infer that "baobao" is a little child.

You have offered a very important rule, however, you forgot about that if talking about pure numbers and ranking, it is always pronounced as the first tone, such as 155 hao fangjian, diyiming, etc.
