February 12, 2014 at 3:21 PMI have a general question/comment about recent Intermediate lessons. Has CPod made the decision to make Intermediate lessons easier? Recently, the Chinese speaking host has been using more and more English during the discussion portion of the lessons. It's been turning the Intermediate lessons into something that feels more like Upper Elementary. On the plus side it's been forcing me to study more Upper Intermediate lessons. On the down side, it's made the gap between Intermediate and Upper Intermediate lessons too great, in my opinion.
If I'm being perfectly honest, I would have to let you know I haven't made it through any of the most recent Intermediate lessons before turning them off in frustration. This is mainly because, for me, the true value of the Intermediate lessons is hearing how the Chinese host discusses the dialogue in Mandarin, and then hearing the English speaking host respond in a way that demonstrates the meaning of what was said in Chinese. This is an important bridge in moving to the UI lessons where both hosts speak primarily in Chinese. Any way, that's my 2 cents.

November 13, 2010 at 3:36 PMVery useful lesson. When it comes down to it, iPhones, iPads, all the Android devices are all about apps. How do you say "apps", "app store"? Does the Android Market have a different name than Apples App Store? How do you talk about "downloading an app"?
I'd love to see a lesson on all this!
谢谢
