         你的女朋友放你（的）鸽子还是你没有女朋友？

还是： 在这里强调“你没有女朋友”，没有女朋友的可能性大于50%。

         约会或者睡懒觉。

或者： 约会和睡懒觉在这里平级，都有50%的可能性。

 

另外： 问题中一般用“还是”，因为问问题的人带有自己的主观想法。

回答问题时不确定时一般用“或者”，因为被问的人并不确定自己的想法

 

呵呵，说真的，我是中国人，我从来没想过“或者”和“还是”的区别，以上是我个人的理解，希望能有帮助。

your sentence  is wrong.

you should say:

你好，我只知道一点汉语，我是新手

the best say :

  你好，我是个新手，我只知道一点汉语。
