The purpose of Chinese Medicine is prevention. It puts the most weight on the combination of keeping good health and curing disease. In curing some diseases, its visible results are definitely slower than Western medicine's. The pace of life in modern society is getting faster all the time. Everyone cares about fast results. Making Western medicine your first choice when you get sick isn't really strange. But this definitely does not mean that there is no potential for Chinese Medicine in China.
