I don't know what's wrong with the world lately! The American sub-prime loan meltdown led to the financial crisis, Lehman Brothers went bankrupt, the government is laying out a ton of money to save the market-- the way I see it, it's all for naught. The key thing is that people aren't able to pay back their loans. Will the American government be able to fill this bottomless pit?
I think the situation is grim. The government's closing the barn door after the horse has left, trying rescue the markets now. It's already too late. But a lot of American debt is in Chinese hands. This could really hurt us badly.
Maybe it's an opportunity. On the news, they're saying that the American Federal Reserve is actively encouraging the use of Chinese funds to buy up American properties. We can use this crisis to become world economic leaders!
I think we're like a clay Buddha crossing a river: hard-pressed to save even ourselves. Look at how the stock market fell from six thousand points to just over a thousand. Everyone says that the stock market is the barometer of a national economy. The Chinese economy is fundamentally alright, but how can the stock market be doing so poorly? All my hard-earned money has been wasted! Agh, I can't even eat!
