It's been going on for a while now. I heard that the NFL did a series to promote it, with TV broadcasts, an official Chinese website, and even had some stars speak a bit of simple Chinese to kiss up to the fans.

They must have seen how well the NBA was doing here, and didn't want to be left behind. They came to China to get a piece of the action. But this sport doesn't seem very international. Only Americans really enjoy watching it. To tell you the truth, I don't understand it at all.

Actually, when you start talking about the rules and strategies, I don't really understand it， either. But I think it's really fun. The athletes are all dressed up in their uniforms, crashing together. And the coaches are worth watching as they line up their ''troops."
