You can't say that. If the divorce rate was low in the past, it was because people were bound by a lot of traditional thinking. A lot of people lost the feeling early on, but there was no way for them to end their marriage. Now, social thinking is much more open, and puts a lot more emphasis on personal emotional space. Now people can freely choose their own life.
