Donation Dilemma Intermediate PREMIUM
In 2011, the Red Cross of China suffered from a corruption scandal. A woman named Guo Meimei, allegedly the mistress of someone on the board of the Red Cross, posted pictures of her lavish lifestyle, possibly paid for by funds embezzled from the Red Cross. Since then the Chinese people have been reluctant to donate to charities, unsure if their donations will end up helping those in need. In this lesson, two friends discuss the problem.
