Hello class! Come, first rub the clay to spread the moisture evenly. In this way the clay will be less likely to warp on the pottery wheel in a bit. First we put the lump of clay in the exact centre of the pottery wheel, then dip both hand in water to lubricate them. Your hands should stay stable, without shaking, as the disk spins the clay should immediately take on a circular shape.
