Aviointeriors is back with their newest version of space-saving, stand-up airplane seats. The Italian seat manufacturer ventures to offer a new in-flight experience and “class” option for passengers.

佩鲁吉尼于2010年第一次提出站立式座椅的概念和设计，但该产品因结构问题，迟迟无法真正被应用于客机中。

他表示：「我必须诚实地说，我不认为有人会喜欢在这种座椅上待八至十个小时。

Italian seat manufacturer Aviointeriors is back with their space-saving “standing seats.” The newest version, Skyrider 3.0, will have passengers perched on a bicycle-seat-like contraption with a back support attached.
Aviointeriors engineering adviser, Gaetano Perugini, stressed that their intention is not “to put thousands of people in the cabin, [instead, they] want to offer a multi-class configuration” to offer passengers options to purchase tickets for business class, premium economy, standard economy, or “ultra-basic economy.”
Perugini first proposed the design and concept of the standing seat in 2010, but the product has exhibited several structural issues that prevented successful implementation.
The engineering adviser remains determined to start installing the new edition into aircraft like those of Airbus or Boeing.
"I will be honest, I don't think that somebody is happy to stay eight or ten hours in this configuration," he admits.
However, "in the short haul, if you want to save money [...] I think the majority of the people will accept this on a couple of hours flight, a three-hour flight."
