How to best upload handwriting samples

I thought the first post in this group would be to gather suggestions for the best way to get handwriting samples uploaded? So, suggestions anybody?

I think it would be good to have an update on what photo storage sites aren't blocked in China. For example, what's the status on flickr? Also zhenlijiang mentioned tinypics. Is that the best?

hey I wanna upload my picture, I haven't done it on this web site before, how do I go about doing that?

It needs to have a url...in other words it has to be uploaded to a website. I have used flickr in the past with success, but haven't tried in a long time. It's a changing scene....basically my impression is that pretty much no matter where you load it, it can be seen by anyone outside of China, but the great firewall of china has a changing list of sites it blocks. But I think bodawei [in China] mentioned that flickr worked for his pics today. From memory I think setting up an account was pretty quick and painless. You then need to click on the pic icon on a new subthread or in a new post and paste the url in the top box. Give us a shout if you get stuck mate. Looking forward to seeing it :)

one more tip before I duck off for a bit. As I said above you need to get a url. But it's important to get the correct url. ...ie the url of the pic itself. It's not going to work if you just get the url from the address bar or a page that your pic is on. You need to specifically get the url of the pic and how you get this might vary from site to site. Most of the time it's just a matter of right clicking on a pic and then clicking on copy image location [for firefox at least...other browsers will have a similar option to this]. In flickr you get it from just above the pic from memory...there is a drop down box. Look for words like "share" or "link" and see if you can get a url there. Good luck. :)

And yes any suggestions for the best way to do this would be appreciated. Meanwhile I'm going to see what a tech dummy like me can try to do ...

No worries zhen. Yours is up and running no probs. To my joy, I just discovered I can directly upload from my writing tablet to some url that the tablet has...hen fangbian. This was the address of my first shot at it:

Hmm, this is strange. I created an avatar for this group. I made sure it was less than 120 x 120 pixels [it's 111 x 111], less than 120KB [ it's 3.61KB] and I made sure it's perfectly square [as above 111 x 111]. Everytime I tried to upload it, it said it was successful, but everytime I looked here:

..it just says "group icon" where the avatar should be and no pic. Anyhow, it's still not showing up in the above location, but just checked and it is showing up in the list of groups if you were to go looking for it there:

...why is it so?
