I just found this video online.

As a new sinophile, I cannot read anything of the cultural context this might have. My comprehension is just not enough. Is this from the 80s? Is this really bad state entertainment? Who is the intended audience? It almost has the feel of the 70s country show in the US "Hee-Haw"!

Does this have anything to do with the shuochang 说唱 tradition discussed in the World of Chinese article here? With most of the other rappers online, I get the hiphop body language. This is like from space.

Anybody know where I can find some authentic traditional shuochang?
