John: OK, but this isn't just any museum, which musuem is it?

John: So that's the 大厅， so 4th, 1st tones, right

John: OK, so if you're talking about a museum you're going to be talking about 展览，right
Dilu: 嗯，总是会说到展览因为博物馆就是各种这样的展览
John: So these are various types of exhibits. So, exhibit is two 3rd tones, is that right?

John: OK, 免费 is free, but what I want to ask here is do we have to say 是免费的. Do we have to use the 是。。。的 pattern?
Dilu: 啊我们可以说大厅的展览免费，啊不过加上这个是什么什么的感觉比较自然一点
John: So it's more natural to say 是免费的
Dilu: 嗯

John: Because I feel like in my own experience I've noticed that when you talk about 免费 you always say 是免费的
Dilu: 对，对，对
John: Or 不是免费的
Dilu: 是的，是的
John: So, for some expressions this 是。。。的 is especially common, here's one to pay attention to
Dilu: 那大家就记住总是把是什么什么的和免费一起说
John: Alright, 那什么展览不是免费的？
Dilu: 有一些特别的展览需要你买票参观
