What's in the Praxis Pass

Does the Praxis Pass include the OpenLanguage (Russian and Arabic) lessons as well as the other 5 Pods? The Store page for the PP only mentions the original *Pods. Also, is the PP only month to month, i.e. no yearly rate?

My premium subscription will be running out in the not too distant future, and I've been looking at some of the different options. I thought it might be fun to take a crack at some other languages, but I'm more interested in Russian and Arabic than I am in the others.

P.S./ I would have just e-mailed C-Pod, but I thought some others might be wondering too. Anyone have any experience with the other *Pods?

I am also curious as to any other languages that may come down the pike at OpenLanguage...

 

Cantonese anyone? I would like to pick up some basic Cantonese.

I think there was some talk about doing a few Cantonese lessons back when they did the Shanghainese ones.

I'd like to know this, too, as I'm thinking of taking a crack at beginning Arabic.

I subscribed to Praxis Pass once for a few months in preparation for traveling to a Spanish-speaking country. I loved listening to Spanishpod - Chinesepod-style lessons but completely different hosts and a different "vibe"! It really shook things up for me.

This was before Arabic and Russian existed as part of OpenLanguage, though.

At this time, Praxis Pass Subscriptions apparently combine Premium Subscriptions for ChinesePod as well their sister sites EnglishPod, SpanishPod, FrenchPod & ItalianPod. All subscriptions are monthly.

Russian and Arabic are available on the Open Language site and there are complimentary sample lessons available. Check out the weekly "Ruspod shorts" which is a free weekly show/lesson that has just started. The Arab culture show is also free.
