Allow me to direct you to one of my favorite lessons. You might find what you're looking for in there. Oh, and my favorite and most frequently-used phrase comes from this lesson: 我还有很多地方需要学习. Absolutely essential phrase, if you ask me.

e.g. 6 or 7 months

My turn... How would you say "I've been studying Chinese for [x amount of time]"?

You can also just say: 我每天学习中文. (Wǒ měitiān xuéxí Zhōngwén.) Adding the 都 (dōu) just adds emphasis.

Can 学习 go either before or after what you're studing, like 学习中文 or 中文学习?

然则,我每天学习中文，哈哈！

Ránzé, wǒ měitiān xuéxí zhōngwén, hāhā!

In that case, I am (just) studying every (other) day, hehe!

I think 每天都 is like every single day and 每天 is a little looser like everyday but maybe miss a day now and again. I'm just guessing though.

Actually, I have a question about the original topic:

What purpose does the 都 serve here? Can you not just say: 我每天学习中文?

I think I've worked it out:

这座城堡成立于十四世纪中。

On a different subject, how would you say "this castle was built in the mid-14th century"?

While we're on the subject of indicating emphaticness, isn't it more emphatic if you say,

"我每天都要学习"

当然咯！我每天都学习。

(Dāngrán lo! Wǒ měitiān dōu xuéxí.)

is perfectly correct! The 咯 (lo) is also very natural in this case. Good job!

Hanzibar says: 咯 [lo] /part. indicating obviousness/

I recall it being used a few times in lessons in conjuction with 当然.

"咯", is too big for this situation, since it almost imply's the meaning of shouting. A good kind of shouting, like raising your voice because you're excited.

Chinese people would say it in a situation like, "吃饭咯！" or alternately, "吃饭喽！"

I guess you could say in some ways it's equal to "啦"

I got further clarification, my source says it fine as is.

I don't like answering these questions myself, so checked with my resident expert, and she thinks it's generally OK, though she favors “当然啊”。

She's from the south, so it might be a regional thing. Interestingly enough, I looked up 咯 in the ChinesePod dictionary and, as you would expect from the phonetic component, the pinyin is listed as "ge". However, my wife pronounces it "lo". Lo!! Hell, I don't know! Damn Chinese!
