I've been checking my e-mails every week in hope for a Premium discount, are they just not done anymore?  Should I just 死心?

yea, i've been looking forward to a discount email as well, with no luck :(

Not sure if can afford to continue with the yearly plan, it's almost double per year for me compared to the discount from the email.  The two-year subscription option is no longer there, is this new?

Nobody else likes discounts, though, it looks like...

Yeah I'm not sure, but I liked it better when I could just pay for a 1 or 2 year subscription and just kind of forget about it...

谁不喜欢打折?The is more and more competition in the Chinese study market. The discounts must come to keep the poddies studying!

there is more competition I agree, and whilst the material here is great hte site needs a total overall in terms of the I.T. side. I can't even get a response from the CP tech dept at all.. and so the tasks function is now utterly useless to me. My time here is limited unfortunately...

Yea, totally agree, there's all this talk from Hank and John about new ideas for learning methods and tools, but very little is materializing. I see waves after waves of low-mid level lessons, even re-recording old ones, yet not a lot of progress for new features. It's getting harder and harder to stay subscribed, when I can just download all of the mp3's, and not lose too much in terms of study tools. Especially with only one-year subs now, and now promotions :(

I'm use Cantoneseclass101 for Cantonese (obviously) haha, and the amount of discounts they have going on is crazy, seriously, it's almost every week. It's almost annoying how many e-mails I get from them haha. But anyway, my point is that competition like that would have ChinesePod running for their money. I haven't looked at the Chinese website that company provides, but I would still think that it would be lacking in terms of content compared to ChinesePod.
