Hi, can someone please explain the vocabulary item "眼下", in its definition of "now, at present"? Is this a very commonly used word in speech, or is it more 文言? Thanks!

yes 眼下 is similar in meaning and usage to 目前， But 目前 is more formal than 眼下 . for instance ， in a report , we use 目前 more often .

“眼下” can mean "at the moment" or "at present". This word comes from ancient. Now we also use this word. It can be used in both speech or written language.
