Massive Reset?

April 12, 2014 at 08:23 AM posted in General DiscussionOk, this one is quite problematic...today I found out that my Self-Study tab was reset to the lessons I had before renewing my subscription...my progress bar as also been wiped clean, and doesn't show me how many lessons I've done in each level...
Is anybody else experiencing similar problems? Sorry for saying this, but I just might join the many others criticizing CPod for screwing things up lately :/

well I appreciate the tech team fixing this problem (and possibly avoiding similar happenings in the future)...to be completely honest, it doesn't really change the fact that we did study those lessons...it's just having to mark them as "studied" all over again that might be a little annoying :)

agreed, that still doesn't make them "unstudied" in your mind ;)
I found quite useful the "list view" in the Library, as it allows for quicker marking of studied lessons by filtering them by level
Once again, I do share other poddies' chagrin for having to deal with server faults :/

My Dashboard is still not up to date.
Francinico: To mark them as "studied" for each lesson you have to remember the name of the lesson and do a search for it.

Same here, I managed to go through 30 odd lesson to re-update my progress. I feel sorry for the people who have studied over 100 lessons.
This is the first time I've become annoyed at Chinesepod's technical glitches. Tell those tech guys to get it sorted.

According to the tech report, the data back to three days ago is recovered. We may still suffer bookmark problem if they were done in last three days. Please let us know if you think your missing lessons were bookmarked before Apr. 10th.We sincerely apologize for the problem and keep working on solve the issue.

The bookmarks are still not working. I don't show a single bookmarked Newbie lesson, even though I've been bookmarking and studying them for months.
But the bookmarks are not the biggest problem...I no longer have any lessons marked as "Studied." My progress bar shows nothing, except for two lessons I just re-marked. The 100+ lessons I had already studied are gone.
It will be an annoyance to re-bookmark lessons I still want to study. It will be a huge pain to have to wade through dozens of already-studied lessons in order to do it.
Please tell me you're putting real backups in place to ensure that this never happens again!

One of our servers broke down last week. The hardware issue was fixed. But we've been experiencing problems in different parts of the site since then. We are working hard to solve the issue. Our sincerest apologies. I really wish I could code sometimes...

Same issue here, all recently bookmarked lessons have been lost. This is definitely not helping with motivation :(

Same thing here, suddenly my current self-study list is gone, and populated with a bunch of lessons I already studied ages ago. To make things worse, the RSS feed then triggered my iTunes to re-download all of those old lessons again, and sync them to my iPhone.
Hope they get this fixed... not sure if I should spend much time getting my self-study list back to where I want it if it gets reset yet again once they figure out what happened come next Monday.

Yes, I am experiencing the same issue - which from my point of view is not acceptable. Very frustrated if not.
I hope that CP can fix this issue asap.
