The Situation in Guangzhou [photo]

Anyone down there or know people down there? Unless the weather gets better in a hurry, I can't imagine this getting fixed before Chinese New Years, at which point the handbasket will probably descend further into the depths.

February 03, 2008, 04:11 AMWow. Those photos are incredible. @caulkins - cold weather and snow are causing havoc with the power grid in southern China. The rail system is all backed up -- things are still normal elsewhere in China. Hangzhou was apparently hit pretty hard too.
