Say It Right Series

How do you say "welcome home" in Chinese?

Posted by annietheeslteacher February 12, 2008 in the Group General Discussion.

I want to make a banner that says "welcome home" or something to that effect in Chinese, but I'm not sure how to say it. So, 歡迎光臨 "huan1 ying2 guang1 lin2" more or less means "welcome" and 歡迎 can be used more informally, but somehow I don't think adding 家 jia1 on the end of either of those would be a real Chinese phrase. Am I right? What should I say?
