May 04, 2008, 10:48 AM posted in General DiscussionI was listening to this song this morning and was wondering if you needed to understand all the lyrics of a song to experience the full emotion of it.
Maybe Cassie can be provide some good Chinese examples?

May 04, 2008, 03:39 PMBtw, I am preparing these three songs recently because I am going to sing a song in the party for graduation. May be I will choose the second one at last since it is the classic one. It is an oldie but a goodie.

May 04, 2008, 04:53 PMYes, YMCA also makes me cry, but not as much as "Cat's in the Cradle." Of course for differing reasons. Perhaps this all depends on your cultural programming.

May 04, 2008, 07:43 PMyep, if the song had been in english I would have hated it. I just thought the whole thing was funny and it was popluar during one of my stays in China. I guess its a nostalgia thing.

May 05, 2008, 04:37 AMrjberki, 老鼠爱大米once was very famous here. When I was a freshman my foreign teacher taught us the English version.^_^ I agree with you, I prefer the Chinese version to the English version.
