iPhone Web App

August 04, 2008, 09:43 AM posted in General DiscussionReally liking the iPhone version of the site, just a couple of points I wondered about though. There doesn't seem to be any webclip icon for the iPhone home screen, I think this is just a quick fix (http://tinyurl.com/2vgvns), and would make the ChinesePod icon on the homer screen look a bit nicer-er.
Also I have noticed in the vocabularly section of a lesson it lists Hanzi and Pinyin, but no English, is this something that is being added?

Good idea. We'll get that does right away. I finally just got an iPhone myself, so I'm more sensitive to these things now. I'll be turning my critical eye to the mobile site a lot more now, too.

ps- How do you like it?

August 26, 2008, 10:10 AMNot sure if you guys noticed, but if you add either the main site or the mobile site to your iPhone bookmark,s you get a nice shiny iPhone icon now.
jeremy123,
Yeah, I joined up. I like it so far. I'm not a crazy raving Apple fanboy by any means, but it's pretty cool. :)

September 04, 2008, 12:50 AMJohn or i-Phone people.
For me the i-Touch will finally have value when you can download the PDF files and expand them to fill the screen or even zoom in farther. Even better to listen to Chinesepod and see the PDF at the same time.
Has anyone made this work other than e-mailing the file to oneself?

September 07, 2008, 10:04 PMI would love an iPhone App. I've downloaded most of the free ones from iTunes and even a couple of the not free ones. If Chinesepod created one, I would definitely pay for it.

September 24, 2008, 08:48 AMI think an iPhone app could be good to, the mobile website is fine, but it lacks the speed of a native app, and is also subject to having some kind of connection.
I have often found myself wanting to use Chinesepod mobile when walking the dog, but phone reception means I spend most the time messing around with trying to get a signal.
