This saying can probably apply to getting your driving licence or any other action involving the government in China, but for me it stands for learning Mandarin :-).
For my 2 year China (arrived 010108) anniversary I have 2 seals made, one with my name+dragon and one with Lao Zi's saying. I am very happy with them and would like to share them.
At first we had some issue, because of communication problems (left dragon I found too dark) and he carved something wrong, but in the end it all turned out just fine.

Yes, the first yin seal is actually the wrong one, but wanted to share it, I found it too dark, the second, yang, one is not the opposite or, but only an adjustment...

That is very cool. Your dragons look like the long whispy ones in 'Spirited Away'.

Guys - aren't the dragons the same; they just have a different background. Does that make them 阴and 阳?

The left dragon is indeed "阴刻" (yen1ke4), but I'm not sure if the right one is "阳刻" (yang2ke4).
