In the "Dialogue" portion, where you listen to a sound bite then are asked to type in what you hear, I could not get any item correct. I have tried several times. I know I am typing in the correct english translation and/or the correct chinese translation but my answers are always marked as incorrect. Just what is supposed to be typed in during this portion of the test?

For characters, initiate a program such as Google pinyin (you input pinyin and it supplies the characters.) The pinyin tone marks is a ChinesePod function - I think you activate it in Resources.

January 11, 2010, 05:15 PMdeeply depends on the operating system. Assuming windows xxx, you have the (system options/control panel) -> keyboard input methods. (naming may vary, just browse a bit)
Again depending on your windows version, you either need your install CD or not when you try to add "support for asian language" or "add chinese input".
Google pinyin is a comforting, forgiving and pleasant method for me to enter text, the Microsoft standard IME (Input Method Editor) is kind of the opposite, but works.
