Using Mandarin in Shanghai

Hi everyone,

I was hoping to hear from those of you living in Shanghai about your experience of getting by with Mandarin.

Do you understand what the local Shanghainese are talking about in the office for example? or do you end up learning some of the local dialect not to be isolated?

在上海很多人不会说上海话。如果会说普通话不需要说上海话。上海人都会说普通话。

我听不懂上海话,但是看起来中国人住在上海久时间听懂很多上海话。

我住在东北,从来没跟上海人说过话,但是我估计,上海人说的普通话好像比北京人的更容易听懂,因为上海人一般不加儿化音。这只是随便猜想而已。

你好changye,你对了,上海人不加儿话。但是加儿话音的时候我喜欢因为听起来酷。

你说的很对,儿化音听起来很酷!其实我刚来中国的时候以为多加儿化音会让我的汉语显得更地道,但是后来我的中国朋友劝我不要乱加儿化音。孔夫子也说过,“过犹不及也”,哈哈。

加儿化音 是有规则的..我也是最近才知道(我不是北方人)

细的,软的才加..

比如面条儿,不能说黄瓜儿

 

 

还有面皮儿..这个是薄的软的..

不能说锅盔儿
