Just make a CP lesson about the NY Times (纽约时报) and they could return the favour one day. This lesson would also be a good occasion to introduce some famous chinese newspapers.

I like that idea, kimiik! I'm fairly sure that one of the best ways to a journalist's inbox is to 拍马屁 - and what better way for us to flatter the NYT than a dedicated lesson?! Will look into this, thanks :-)

January 29, 2010, 01:58 PMHi pretzellogic -
In 2009, we spent a considerable amount of energy on PR initiatives (with some success i.e. here, here and here).
However, it is a challenge, as you say, and we're a very small team (sales, marketing and PR rolled into one little team, that is), so this challenge is perhaps even larger.
For 2010, our plan is to focus a little less on getting new traffic to the site, and more on consolidating and improving the site itself for new and current users.
As well as the work of John Pasden and the tech team, these improvements are very much part of the sales/marketing role. I'm personally pretty excited about this, however much I enjoy getting involved in PR fun too.
Hopefully there'll be plenty of time for both, of course. After all, I'd argue that CPod is still very "now" - and people need to know that!
