I always wondered what the number next to each name in the 'most active users' box meant - can we have an explanation please ChinesePod?

this is only a guess but the algorithm maybe a (posts)/(time unit) calculation and if some one has just signed up the time unit part would be very small therefor making the brand new people float to the top.

yeah....I noticed that I was on that most frequent users list for a week or so when I first signed up. I wonder if it was a prize for hopping aboard. I was kind of constantly on Chinesepod though, but now I'm working too much.
Anyway..it was so nice to see my name there....I miss it. ^_^

I wonder why after just one post she is showing up as one of the most active users on Partypop? Even more active than guys like Henning...in fact there are 2 brand new users who have shown up in the most active list, annxiangli and Jing506...I wonder what's up with that? Could it be another feature of the Most Active Users algorithm? I noticed the B...A...Z...Z...A factor still exists...hhhmmm time to change my screen name to include more A's and Z's ;)
