May 24, 2010 at 11:49 AM posted in I Have a QuestionI am trying to translate a text of San Mao, but there are some sentences that I do not understand. I have already translated them but I do not know whether I got the right meaning. Please, help me to translate them. Any idea is welcomed.
Thanks in advance

那三个沙哈拉威人给我一哭(the three saharawei guys cry, and)全(all the guys)去注意(pay attention to)荷西
Honestly, I'm not sure about this translation. I need context. FYI, in the case of “他给我哭”, the person who cries is “他”, but not “我”.
我乘(exploit, take advantage of)这几秒钟的空档(= 空当, gap, interval)
踢掉(cast off, throw off)脚上的拖鞋(slippers)
而我这样乱跑(even if recklessly flee)是逃不掉的(no way to flee, anyway),
我已(already)冲上山坡飞也似的(= 地)(as if flying/rushing toward hillside)往前开去(go forward).
我用车好似(just like)“自杀飞机”(suicide airplane = kamikaze !!)
他们反而(instead,on the contrary)赶快闪开(get out of the way)了。
I hope you will come up with more sophiscated English translations, hehe.

Thanks for the correction! Is there any difference in meaning between “他给我哭” and “他给我一哭”?
