That way, you appear on Community, and your correspondents see your post. If I threaded it, how would you know that I had sent you a message? Or to put it another way, what is the advantage to the poster and postee of threading? It seems that the advantages are only for third parties wanting to avoid the blather. Have I missed the point?

June 06, 2010, 06:16 AMI thought I would revive this Department of Dumb Questions (it appears that I am the only occupant) to ask: How do I find a complete list of lessons ever published by ChinesePod?
I feel like a saunter through old lessons. If I want to browse, to see what is interesting, how do I get there? I seem to have a list of Active lessons but that only goes back about 18 months. Wow, this is a dumb question. But I just can't see it at the moment. Don't think I've ever been there before.

I'm not sure if this will help mate ,but you can click on the lessons tab and currently that lists 10 lessons per page and then you can scroll back through 184 pages. A better way to look at the list is ,once in this lessons tab,click on the "by channel" tab and from there select your level and once in that level click on "full list" which will give you about 50 lessons at a time. Unfortunately this button is not available on the "latest lessons tab" and I don't know of another way except maybe through itunes.

Thanks Barbs - I thought that the 'full list' would be just for that Channel - if so it seems a laborious way of browsing, that is Channel by Channel, but I will try it just the same.
Yes, I did think of the iTunes route, but that is only lessons that I have already bookmarked and downloaded. I wanted to browse through the ChinesePod archives rather than the archive that I have on my hard disk (which is now kind of annoyingly on three different computers.)

I see another problem with the Channel route - you cannot just bookmark something that looks interesting, you have to open up the lesson first. I was hoping to mark a few in bulk that look interesting.

January 04, 2010, 10:12 AMSorry John, it seemed we almost simultaneously posted. I seemed to have jumped the gun, and I assume that this is one matter that is being fixed. Cheers anyway, we have seen the light (but it is still at the end of the tunnel.)
