August 22, 2019 at 2:51 AMwell, Chinese usually don’t call “mom” in daily life as “妈妈”. They more often call them as “妈”. In this dialogue, it would be more natural if he say, “妈，是我，杰克” instead of “妈妈，是我，杰克”.
Besides, “妈妈” should be pronounced as “ma 1 ma 5” instead of “ma 1 ma 1”.
“我很” in “我很想你” should be pronounced as “wo 2 hen 3” because of the tone change rules.

土豆=马铃薯, Taiwan and mainland China may have different names for the same vegetable.
