September 29, 2017 at 2:30 AMIt's just to highlight the end of the dialogue so you can relax :)
I can make it quieter if it's really annoying, or turn it off completely if lots of people don't like it.

September 23, 2017 at 7:12 AMIf you see a 的 at the end of a sentence and not sure why it's probably the shi...de structure which emphasises time/place/action. In this example, they are emphasising that they bought it just this afternoon (i.e = fresh/new)

September 15, 2017 at 7:52 AMThat's odd. What mp3 player are you using? They are just regular mp3 files. Does it happen with any other lessons?
I've uploaded the same file from the website here.

September 12, 2017 at 3:07 AMAlthough some textbooks write out the tone change rule to help learners, most places do not since it is merely a spoken rule and not a written one. From a technical standpoint, our system auto generates the pinyin and Fiona and Constance have to go in and manually change lots of translations and mistakes.
You should check out the Say It Right series to learn more about the tone change rule: https://chinesepod.com/playlist/say-it-right/tone-changes-1
(Don't think of 不 the character changing its tone, but rather you saying it in a different way to make speech more fluid and easier.)

October 13, 2017 at 2:25 AMThank you. I usually get Fiona and Constance to QC the video after I'm done, and can check how good it is by when they laugh and how much :)
