October 25, 2017 at 4:36 AMIt should be there now. We had an issue with generating it, but IT has now fixed it, and I'm re-adding it to lessons without it. Thanks for spotting that.

October 19, 2017 at 2:49 AMNot to my knowledge, and since it's exclusive to Netflix which doesn't dub films, you might have a hard time finding it. If you live in a Chinese speaking region, you can switch between Chinese and English subtitles. The annoying thing with Netflix is that it doesn't offer all the subtitles they have. For example, If I wanted to practice my non-existent Japanese, I can't access those titles even though they have them for all shows in Japan.

October 13, 2017 at 2:46 AMYou can download the audio lesson and lesson notes by clicking download in the sidebar. Qing Wen lessons only have a main lesson mp3 and some notes, so there is no vocabulary review mp3. You can't currently download video for offline, but we are working on that in our apps, similar to how Netflix now lets you.

October 13, 2017 at 2:40 AMI had barely heard of Mandarin when I first met Fiona, and when she used to Skype her parents once a week, I never really paid much attention to what language she was speaking. It was only in the summer before my move to Taiwan that I asked Fiona to teach me some phrases. I would ask her "How do you say I would like a cup of tea" and write down in my own made up pinyin what I heard. At that point, i didn't know what pinyin was, so just invented some ;)
My first months in Taiwan were tough since I had gone from being the smartest I had ever been (newly graduated from Edinburgh) to not being able to order food or pay bills. That's what gave me the motivation to rapidly learn lots of Chinese in a short amount of time, by using Anki with HSK1-3 lists and listening to early Cpod lessons. Once I got comfortable with daily life, my progress slowed down lots.

October 13, 2017 at 2:36 AMMore regular lessons will go out next week although we would like to introduce more lessons that are not so formulaic in future to add to the regular content and keep everyone happy.
